Service 6 of 7

Implementation through go-live

We stay with you until the strategy works in daily operations: from the RFP and vendor selection through managing your service providers to migration and sign-off.

No system is replaced blindly. We manage your service providers against the target state and the plan, verify the data transfer with reconciliations, and document sign-off in audit-ready form.

What it is about

Supported until it works in day-to-day operations

Many strategies fail in implementation. Service providers work to their own plans, deadlines slip, and in the end nobody is sure whether the new system has fully taken over the data of the old one.

We stay at your side until the target state works in daily operations. We prepare RFPs, assess bids against criteria agreed on in advance, and support the selection. During delivery, we manage your service providers against the plan and target state and report to management at fixed intervals.

For migrations, our principle applies: no system is replaced blindly. A system is switched off only once all its data is understood, transferred, and reconciled. For this, we plan a parallel run of at least three months in which the old and new systems deliver the same results.

Every step is documented so it can be traced. At the end, there is a documented sign-off that also stands up to an audit.

What you gain

A partner on your side, all the way to sign-off

  1. Your advocate with service providers

We represent your side, not a vendor’s. Service providers are measured against the plan and target state, not against their own specifications.

  2. Comparable bids

RFPs with clear criteria lead to bids that can genuinely be compared. You choose on the basis of facts.

  3. Spot deviations early

Delays, additional effort, and quality problems become visible while they can still be corrected.

  4. Migration verified by reconciliation

Parallel operation and reconciliations show whether the new system delivers the same results as the old one before anything is switched off.

How we work

Four steps, each with a result

  1. Step 1

    Set up the plan

We translate the target state and roadmap into an implementation plan with milestones and owners.

Result: An implementation plan with milestones and owners.

  2. Step 2

    Select vendors

We prepare RFPs and assess bids against agreed criteria.

Result: Comparable bids and a reasoned choice.

  3. Step 3

    Manage delivery

We manage your service providers against the plan and target state and make deviations visible early.

    Result: Deviations that surface early.

  4. Step 4

    Secure the migration

We check data transfer and parallel operation with reconciliations and document the sign-off.

Result: Reconciliations, migration evidence, and documented sign-off.

In practice

The project is slipping, the change requests keep growing

The introduction of a new system is delayed, and the service provider keeps reporting additional effort. We compare progress and billing with the agreed target state, separate justified changes from rework, and present a sound new plan. Management decides on the basis of facts again, and the project regains a reliable rhythm.

A typical scenario as we encounter it in engagements, not a single client case.

Questions executives ask

Questions executives ask about it

Does SIMO do the implementation itself?

We guide and support the implementation and work together with your teams and service providers. Who implements what is agreed on jointly in the implementation plan.

Why a parallel run?

To prevent data loss. Old and new run side by side until reconciliations show that everything has been transferred completely. Only then is the old system switched off.

Who from our company does implementation support need?

Your teams and service providers, plus management for the decisions at the milestones. Who delivers what is set out in the implementation plan with milestones and owners.

Where does implementation support start?

With a free 45-minute initial call by video. The support builds on a target state and an implementation plan. If they do not exist yet, we work them out first.

Why SIMO

Advice that is on your side
