## The founding story. From the Barbarossa Cup to a data mission.

Thomas and Andreas meet, not at a conference but at the table tennis table. Twenty-five years of media production meet twenty years of financial mathematics. Two entirely different worlds, one shared ambition.

Barbarossa Cup

They organize a tournament together. Entrants, schedules, results, evaluations. Suddenly they are deep in data. Working on structures side by side turns into a passion.

2020

SIMO is founded as a marketing agency. Within a year the realization lands: marketing without a data foundation is a house without footings. The data comes first. Not the tools, not the software.

2021

The change of course. “Simple marketing” becomes data management. Not a step back but clarity: before a company can do anything meaningful with its data, it has to understand, order and master it.

Today

What began as a conversation between two club mates is SIMO today: MAKE DATA EASY. The mission: to enable the European Mittelstand, Germany's mid-market and its European peers, to lead with data. Business Data Strategy is a boardroom matter, not an IT topic.
